GCMTA Music Day Literature and Performance Requirements – Duet or Trio

1. Students are to perform two selections of contrasting style.
2. Memorization is optional.
3. Students must provide the judge with an original score of the music with measures numbered. The teacher’s name should be deleted from the score. All music used must comply with copyright regulations. Photocopies will be allowed to facilitate page turns only and must be destroyed at the conclusion of the competition.
4. Competition will be divided as follows:
   • Grades 2-3
   • Grades 4-6
   • Grades 7-9
   • Grades 10-12
5. Students may compete outside of their grade level but competition will be based on the level of the oldest student on the team.
6. All members of each winning ensemble will receive a cash award.
